CPI - Training for internal and supplier auditors in social compliance
The requirements to conduct audits in social sustainability are increasing both in terms of monitoring e.g. Code of Conduct at suppliers and internally in larger global companies to ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
In this 4-day online-based training that mixes theory with practice and is conducted in a workshop format and includes opportunities for discussions and individual activities. The trainer will present concepts and examples, along with workshop exercises that show how these concepts can be applied within an organization.
By completing this course, you take the first step towards becoming a social compliance auditor. You will then need to register with APSCA to continue the qualification process. For more information, please see the APSCA website.

- Simulated factory tour (health, safety and environment)

Learning objectives
After the training, the participant will:
- Understand Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, their history and importance
- Understand CSR audits, the audit process, audit types, auditor professionalism, and safety and securit
- Understand the components of CSR audits and common auditing standard
- Understand the audit process, including effective audit preparation, opening and closing meetings, social management systems and business ethics, site visits, interviews with management and workers, and review of personnel and payroll record
- Be able to use selection techniques in interviews and review of personnel files
- Be able to handle special situations and sensitive matters
- Understand risk management techniques
- Be able to write CSR audit reports and corrective action plans
