From August 1st 2025, the mandatory requirements of the EU delegated Regulation to the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) came into force, with the aim of improving the cybersecurity of wireless products on the European market. Over the past year Intertek has helped our customers to evaluate-, test- and verify compliance. At this course, we will share some of our learnings and best practices.
When the EU RED delegated regulation now has come into force as a mandatory requirement, you as a manufacturer or importer of connected electrical products in the EU, now need to review your CE documentation as well as your products for compliance. Is the product in its current form compliant? You may need to modify the design? Is my current documentation in line with best practices? In addition, you will need to update your technical file with proof of compliance. Familiarize yourself with these new requirements and latest best practices now!
In this half-day course, our RED and cybersecurity experts will guide you through:
- EU RED requirements overview
- The route to compliance
- The EU concept of “Placing on the market”
- Necessary technical documentation
- Overview of the harmonized standards:
- EN 18031-1
