In August 2026 the new IEC 61851-1 4th ed. is planned to be released. The Standard Committee TC69 has already approved the draft version CDV (Committee Draft for Vote). In the fast pacing development in EV charging technologies and renewable energies 6 new standards will be released within 2026, addressing new regulations for innovating technologies.
