Upcoming Requirements for your EV Charging product, IEC 61851-1 ed.4

In August 2026 the new IEC 61851-1 4th ed. will be released. In the fast pacing development of EV charging technologies and renewable energies 6 new standards will be released within 2026 addressing new regulations for innovating technologies, including IEC 63379, IEC 61851-23-3 Ed.1.0 and IEC TS 63638 ED1.

If it is automatic connections in both DC and AC chargers, with or without Vehicle couplers, Megawatt chargers, active cooling systems. These new standards cover more technologies than before. This course will give you an overview of the major requirements of your product.
