IEC/EN 62368-1 is the first standard developed with the new hazard-based approach. In this course you will first learn the basic principles and then see how these are applied to classify hazards and design safeguards to make a safe product.
As different editions of IEC 62368-1 are used around the world the training includes the 2nd, 3rd and 4th edition of IEC 62368-1. Major differences between the editions will be highlighted throughout the training.

Course objectives
The objective of the course is to help you to understand the underlying principles and the most commonly encountered hazards and safeguards in order to design safe equipment. This knowledge will minimize the risks of expensive re-design and get your product to market faster.
Previous knowledge
No previous knowledge of the standard is required, but if you want to prepare for the course, we recommend that you take a look at chapters 3-4 in the standard.
