New EU Battery Regulation

At the end of 2022, the European Parliament and the Council reached a provisional political agreement on a proposal to create harmonized legislation for the sustainability and safety of batteries in the EU.

Although no formal decision has yet been taken, it is high time for manufacturers and importers of battery-operated products to review their products. Do their products in their current form really comply with the new requirements? What do manufacturers, importers or distributors need to take into consideration?
